Order Confirmations to Delivery Updates: How Philippine Online Sellers Use GoHighLevel SMS

Posted on August 18, 2026August 18, 2026 by Gohighlevel Insights

Shopee, Lazada, and Facebook or Instagram sellers all deal with the same reality: most Philippine buyers don’t check email, and cash-on-delivery is still the default payment method for a huge share of orders. That means confirmations, payment reminders, and delivery updates need to land somewhere buyers actually look: their phone’s inbox.

If you’re already running your online store or reseller business through GoHighLevel, you likely have workflows built for order intake, tagging, and follow-up. The missing piece for most PH-based sellers is a reliable, affordable way to text those buyers directly from those same workflows.

Why Twilio doesn’t fit this use case

GoHighLevel’s default SMS routing works through providers like Twilio, which treats every message to a Philippine mobile number as international traffic. That means paying roughly US$0.20 per SMS segment, plus a recurring phone number fee of around $120 a month, costs that rarely make sense for a seller sending order confirmations on a few hundred pesos of margin. Delivery on local PH carrier networks through international routes can also be inconsistent, which matters when a “your parcel is out for delivery today” message needs to actually arrive today.

There’s also the Sender ID issue: messages routed through Twilio typically arrive from a random number, not your shop’s name, which matters when buyers get dozens of unfamiliar texts a week and are wary of scams.

Where NOLA SMS Pro fits into a seller’s workflow

NOLA SMS Pro adds Send SMS as a native action inside GoHighLevel workflows, routed through local Philippine SMS infrastructure at roughly ₱1.00 per SMS instead of international rates. For a seller sending order-related texts, that’s the difference between a message costing a few centavos of margin versus eating into the sale itself.

Because it’s a native workflow action, it slots into the automations you’d already build for an online shop:

  • Order confirmed: SMS confirming the order and total
  • Cash-on-delivery orders: reminder SMS the day before delivery so the buyer has cash ready
  • Order shipped: SMS with tracking info or an expected delivery window
  • Delivery attempted or failed: SMS prompting the buyer to reschedule or confirm their address
  • Order completed: follow-up SMS for reviews or repeat-purchase promos

Once your Sender ID is approved, these messages can also arrive under your actual shop name instead of a stranger’s number, which tends to matter for buyer trust, especially with COD orders where a scam-sounding text can make someone refuse the delivery.

Managing it day to day

Sellers manage their Sender ID, API keys, and SMS settings from NOLA SMS Pro’s web dashboard, separate from digging through GoHighLevel’s own settings. Because it also connects to GoHighLevel’s Conversations inbox, you can reply to buyer questions about their order from the same place you’re already managing leads and customer chats, without switching tools.

It’s worth being clear about one limitation: NOLA SMS Pro currently supports one-way SMS. It’s built for sending confirmations, reminders, and updates, not a two-way SMS conversation thread. For back-and-forth buyer questions, that’s still best handled through GoHighLevel’s Conversations inbox alongside it.

Getting started

Setup follows the same four steps regardless of what you’re selling: install NOLA SMS Pro from the GoHighLevel Marketplace, apply for your Sender ID, add the Send SMS action to your order workflows, and messages start going out automatically as orders move through your pipeline.

For sellers moving any real volume of COD orders, the math tends to work out fast. At roughly ₱1.00 per SMS versus ₱9 to ₱14 through international routes, a few hundred order-related texts a month is where the savings start to add up on their own.
